We spent our time in and around Blossom Creek Coffee farm. The community of Las Quebradas (The Creeks) was where we spent the bulk of our time, and where we made many new friends in the church and community.
The church service Sunday night was an incredible time of worship. We experienced the oneness of the of the of the body of Christ as we worshiped together even though we did not share a language.
The school (Kindergarten to Grade 6) was turned over to us in the mornings for “Vacation Bible School”. It was a fantastic time of crafts, games and teaching the kids about Jesus, made possible by our amazing translators.
Afternoons were spent visiting families in the community. Bringing them care packages and sharing testimonies with them. This was an amazing time and we saw several accept Jesus as Saviour.
We also worked on the farm, planting 700 coffee trees at top of the mountain near the small community of El Cielito (which roughly translate’s to “a little piece of heaven”).
We also were able to build a swing set for the school. The first time many of the children had ever used a swing.
It was an amazing time, with we hope, a lasting impact in Honduras and in the the lives of those who went.
